Victor Interesting comments about Pedro Paramo by Juan Rulfo...I had no idea it was his only book and that it had inspired Magical Realism..I read it in 1974 and I hardly remember the story line, it is worth to re read it...an another good writer that was a precursor also, although not so much magical realism, but rather a latin american version of European Symbolism is Ruben Dario..his book Azul ( Blue) is a jewel of Rimbaudian prose.....
Rubén Darío

Lohengrin It was his only novel, but he also wrote El llano en llamas, an excellent collection of short stories.

Jacob Basque The most shallow latinamerican writer.

Jacob Basque The novel is very... How could I say? Is a deep and heavy tour to "Comala", a ghost-town where people have a sinister past... Is just Great!
