I'm not sure if it is food-themed, but the food has an important role in the book, even if it is not what the book is about.

Kay | 17 comments Tale of Genji? How did that go?

message 20: by Txetxu (new)

Txetxu | 70 comments I found it really interesting, i was a bit intimidated with it but the lecture goes fluent and is really enjoyable and beautifull. You follow Genji story, a classic Don Juan, but he is not that important in the story like the women he seduces, he is the excuse to show the life of aristocrat women in medieval Japan. Sometimes is a bit repetitive but a worth reading if you are interested in the topic. For me is a 5/5 stars.
