April - June: 3-Month Challenge-

Hello everyone, this year in addition to the monthly challenges, we are doing a Yearly 3 Month Long Challenge. We plan to conduct 4 challenges of this sort in 2022. We are also doing a Yearly Special Challenge.

I put a lot of stuff in spoiler tags for easy navigation. If you are on the app, things will show up automatically without clicking on 'view spoiler'. I also know the rules are long, so feel free to ask any questions. :)

Sign-ups are open from March 2022 to June 2022

General Rules:

(view spoiler)[-This challenge will take place during April, May, and June. For each month, a certain sign/gemstone will be featured and participants will earn double points for completing prompts in that category. These three months will focus on the air signs.
-You can sign up for all three months, but if you feel that might be too much to commit, then you can sign up for only one month, or two months. For eg- You can sign up for only April, or both April and May, or all three: April, May & June.
-This challenge has an option, you can sign up for competitive solo, non-competitive solo, competitive team and non-competitive team. You can sign up for only one of the above, to avoid confusion, but you can change your sign up per month. For eg; you can sign up for Solo Competitive in April and Team Non-Competitive in May, etc. Just specify.
-Participants are required to read books from the prompts listed below.
-Prompts cannot be repeated.
-Books below 100 pages don’t count.
-Books of any language & genre will count.
-Books can be read in any format and the cover must be counted according to the edition read.
-If you are reading an audiobook, then count the cover of the same edition and the page number of another edition.
-Books that you finish in April, May, or June, but started in another month will also count.
-Reviews and buddy reads are not being counted this time.
-Graphic novels, manga's, webtoons, etc will also count, as long as they are 100 pages and longer.
-Re-reads will count.
-You can complete as many prompts from the list as you want, and you do not have to complete all of them.
-To keep it fair, the point system will differ depending on what you sign up as, because its harder to read several books when you are in a team, compared to individual. The prompts will be the same for everyone. Points and results will be tracked by moderators. (hide spoiler)]

EXPLAINING THE TYPES OF SIGN-UPS FOR THE CHALLENGE:

Competitive Challenges:

(view spoiler)[Competitive will be points-based. It will be like a completion, and winners will be announced when the challenge is over. (hide spoiler)]

Team

(view spoiler)[- A team challenge is where team members will be expected to read a book like a buddy read. The team members will be decided by the moderators. Team members will have to decide the books that they want to read mutually by giving suggestions. You will not be reading solo books.

- Each team will be appointed a team leader, who will be responsible for the coordination of everything in their team. Members who are most active in the group will be taken into consideration, but we may also choose at random.

- The team leader will be expected to coordinate their team, help in deciding which books to read, keep the conversations going, log the books and make this challenge as enjoyable as possible for their team, etc. Our mods will also be helping with this. The team leader will also be in charge of logging the books.

- If a team leader fails to do their job, the group will get -5 points.

- In case you are chosen as the team leader and want to opt-out of it, let us know. You can still take part in the challenge and not lead the team. A new team leader will be chosen in that case.

- Teams can move on to another book only after all team members have read it. In case a specific member is inactive, please let the mods know and we will tell you how you can proceed with the challenge. (hide spoiler)]

Solo (Individual)- Competitive:

(view spoiler)[- Solo (Individual) competitive participants can read as many books as they want from the list of prompts. There is no restriction on them.
- There will be points for them.

Point System for Solo Competitive:
+5 points for books read from 'General Prompts'.
+10 for the books read from all the other categories.
+20 for completing prompts from either the featured gem or featured sign of the month
+50 if you complete all 10 prompts from the featured sign or gem
+75 if you complete all 20 prompts from both the featured sign and featured gem (hide spoiler)]

Team Competitive:

(view spoiler)[- If you are signing up for a team, then you will need to complete all the books together and you can log them only after everyone in your team finishes reading them.
- A team leader will be appointed, just like last time.
- The goal is to complete as many prompts as possible from the list given below, together.
- A team can only read one book at a time.

Point System for Team Competitive:
+10 points for books read from 'General Prompts'.
+15 for the books read from all the other categories.
+25 for completing prompts from either the featured gem or featured sign of the month
+50 if you complete all 10 prompts from the featured sign or gem
+75 if you complete all 20 prompts from both the featured sign and featured gem (hide spoiler)]

Non-Competitive

(view spoiler)[Non-competitive is freer. There are no points, you can read whatever you want without the pressure of reaching a certain goal or winning. (hide spoiler)]

Solo (Individual)- Non-Competitive:
