In Italy James Bond evades pursuers while Mr. White is in the trunk of his car (DBS). He delivers White to M (MI6 chief) who questions him about the secret organization: Quantum. M's bodyguard suddenly attacks them but is killed by Bond while White escapes. Bond discovers the bodyguard had a contact in Haiti who is connected to Dominic Greene. Dominic is also trying to help ex-Bolivian General Medrano overthrow the gov in exchange for a piece of land and attempts to kill his companion, Camille. Bond follows Greene to Austria where the CIA strikes a deal with Dominic for access to oil. He then infiltrates Quantum's meeting and identifies Quantum's board, causing a gunfight. A special branch bodyguard is killed by Greene's men, and thinking Bond killed him M revokes his cards and passports. Bond then goes to Bolivia where he rescues Camille from Greene, and surveys Quantum's future land acquisition and learns that Quantum has been damming Bolivia's water supply. After learning of the oil reserves in the Atacama Desert, they intercept Medrano (who Camille kills), and Greene (who is left to die). Bond then goes to Russia where he finds Quantum agent Yusef Kabira who seduced Vesper in the first movie (indirectly causing her death). MI6 arrests Kabira while M explains that “she needs Bond back”. Bond replies he never left and drops vesper’s necklace in the snow.
I will give this movie 4/5 for the plot, characters, design, and soundtrack. This is a good movie but not as good as Casino Royale.
