(view spoiler)[ So far I like this book. It's interesting, but it is nothing special I'd say.
What kind of bothers me is how quickly Juneau adapts to modern world after living all her life with a tribe in the wilderness. And she learns to drive a car by watching Miles do it. That's a bit unrealistic to me.
What I'm wondering about is Whit's role in all this. Is he really a bad guy? And of course I'd like to know why they are looking for Juneau amd why the elders lied.
Unfortunately, I needed to return my copy to the library, so it's unlikely I'll get it back in time to finisih it this month :( (hide spoiler)]

I actually got the book back, so I was able to finish.
(view spoiler)[ Towards the end Juneau's powers started to be a little too convenient for my taste and as I pointed out earlier, she was adapting way too quickly to modern life. Otherwise, the book was still quite entertaining.
The book ended with some unanswered questions, like who took her clan and what really was Whit's position in all of this. I would also like to know more about the yara. If it is a consequence of a drug, as it now seems, it must be quite a drug to basically stop people from aging but also give them all types of supernatural powers. Anyway, I guess the second book would hold the answers ☺ (hide spoiler)]
