MountainKat | 31587 comments Information required when posting your completion/s:

Task
Book/cover link
Page numbers with source
How book qualified, with links or cover as necessary.
Date Completed.
Rating/Review.

**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

MountainKat | 31587 comments I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 7, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

Courtney | 2931 comments So I'll move my suggestions over for series and authors

For authors, maybe Naima Simone, Em Petrova, Lauren Blakely, or if you guys want to try something a little more out there Zoey Ellis

Series maybe Seattle Sharks again or the Sawyer Bennett hockey series.

There are kind of two flavors of omegaverse. One seems more about just causing pain, which I don't like. The other is more dom/sub ish, which are the ones I prefer.

I haven't read through all your past suggestions but I'll just add

Elle Kennedy as an author and

this is a multi-author series I suggested with my team last time for the same series task, though I haven't read any
Busy Bean Series

99. Each teammate lists 5 favourite books-

The Bride (Lairds' Fiancees, #1) by Julie Garwood - historical
The V Girl a Coming of Age Story by Mya Robarts - fantasy
Wicked Games (Games, #1) by Jessica Clare - contemporary
Morning Glory Milking Farm (Cambric Creek, #1) by C.M. Nascosta - monster romance
Between Jobs (The City Between, #1) by W.R. Gingell - fantasy

Courtney | 2931 comments The Busy Bean series looks good to me!

We have two series tasks, 9 we can read same or different books in the same series, but 82 we all have to read different books in the same series. Busy Bean might work well for 82 since they look like they don't need to be read in order.

What do you all think?

Tink Magoo is bad at reviews (tinkmagoo) | 1380 comments There is also this one

Green Valley Library Series - small town romance

Moo U Series - sports romance

and this one is MM, I'm not sure if any of you read that though

Vino & Veritas Series

message 28: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 2931 comments Ok I updated most of the lists to earlier months.

29 - Keeping military for profession
I'm ok to keep

52 - Changed book cover to grey, is that right?

79 - Trope, keep friends to lovers?
I'm ok with anything really. We do have another task that specifies best friends, though, if you want to do something different. Enemies to Lovers? I'm pretty sure we did secret baby once already.

88 - boat or car?
I vote boat

92 - Keep past or change to future?
I'm ok to keep

96 - Sun or moon?
Maybe moon? Most of my covers have naked chests on them lol, so I'll be looking for something either way

Any of those look good to me! Whatever you all think. Should we pick two from these?

Green Valley Library

Busy Bean

Moo U

Vino Veritas

I'd probably put Moo U and Busy Beans as my top 2 picks, but any would be fine.

For authors, we have Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy, Naima Simone, Zoey Ellis so far.

Sarina Bowen would be good for me. I have a bunch on my TBR already.

It looks like we need 3 authors total. 1, 51, 73
Only 51 do we need to read different books by the same author.

message 34: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11328 comments I'm fine with any of those series and authors, but would probably put Busy Bean at the top of the series list, for no particular reason. As far as the authors go, since four are listed and we need three, Elle Kennedy would probably be my choice NOT to use. I like her stuff, but tend to like Sarina Bowen better, and the other two are new to me so they force me to expand my reading somewhat. That reasoning worked great with Ruby Dixon...I never would have gone there without a push, and I'm really enjoying the Ice Planet Barbarians series!

Ok, here goes with these...

29. Still fine with Military

52. Color always seems to be a crapshoot for me - I can never really protect what might work...so grey is fine with me.

79. Friends to Lovers is one I usually enjoy, but I'm fine with changing too...can't think of any tropes I actively avoid, although there are some I definitely don't go looking for.

88. I probably lean toward car here, but stand by my previous comment of hoping the randomizer is nice to us and we don't get this one! 😁

92. No preference at all...both past and future are super easy for me.

96. No real preference. I do have a couple of books on my M&G shelf with the moon on the cover, but that could change by the time we get to this task (if we do get it).

Into Deep Waters by Kaje Harper Into Deep Waters - Historical (M/M)
A Reason To Believe by Diana Copland A Reason To Believe - M/M Fantasy, Mystery

message 37: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 2931 comments We have 2 votes for Busy Beans, 2 for Moo U, and 1 each for Green Valley library and Vino & Veritas. So if you want to pick a 2nd you like Karen, and then whichever 2 Tink prefers, and then we'll see where we're at.

For authors, who do you guys want where? For the first, it doesn't matter if we read the same book, but 51 must be different, and 73 we need the largest page count. I was thinking Zoey Ellis for 1 since everyone but me will need the first book in one of her series, Sarina Bowen for 52 since we've all read some of her works before and can move around, and Naima Simone for 73 because her books are longer than Ellis. Only thing I'm worried about is you guys hating Ellis....her stuff can be a bit dark. But if you want to give it a go, I'm game.

For 79, I'd be cool switching to fake relationship or keeping friends to lovers. I have a bunch of both. I'd probably vote to change just to mix things up, but I'm fine either way.

Tink, any preference for the past/future and sun/moon?

Tink Magoo is bad at reviews (tinkmagoo) | 1380 comments I'm fine with either past or future and I imagine moon may be easier, but can work with both.

I'm more worried about the authors, especially if it needs to be a long book but if I have to plough through so be it. I'm not bothered by it being dark.

I'm really fine with any of the series choices. Vino & Veritas would probably be my first choice, only because I recognize more authors.

Your ideas for which authors go with which tasks works for me, and as far as Zoey Ellis goes, dark isn't what I go looking for, but it's also not going to scare me off. It's one book...If I don't like it, I won't read any more by her! 😀 I'd also be fine swapping her out for Elle Kennedy though, if anyone else would rather not go there.

EDIT: I just discovered that none of Zoey Ellis' books are out in audio. Her books are short enough that I'm ok with reading one, but my actual reading time is limited enough (and my reading slow enough) that it will definitely take me longer than something available in audio.

Tink Magoo is bad at reviews (tinkmagoo) | 1380 comments I'm good with any of the lists.

If Zoey Ellis and Elle Kennedy won't fit everyone, would Ruby Dixon? It sounds like you didn't mind her?

Courtney | 2931 comments Let's pick someone else then. I'll put a Zoey Ellis as a recommendation if anyone wants to try.

We did Ruby Dixon last time, right?. I don't mind doing her again. Or we can choose someone else. If you guys want some more light scifi V.K. Ludwig. The Vandalar Concubine serious has a Dixon feel. Or Maybe Kristen Ashley for 73? We need 1500 pages for that task so we'd need longer books anyway.

I think I've really confused things! I'm perfectly happy with any of the authors suggested so far, with the only caveat being that it would take me a little longer to get through a Zoey Ellis book since it's not available in audio. Happy to try new authors (Naima Simone, V.K. Ludwig), and I've read and enjoyed all of the others, although it's been a long time since I read Kristen Ashley. So really, whoever everyone else wants to read is fine with me!

Courtney | 2931 comments OK, so let's keep Naima Simone and Sarina Bowen.

And then vote for Ruby Dixon, V.K.Ludwig, or Kristen Ashley for the last one.

I just can't remember how dark some of the Zoey Ellis gets and I don't want you guys to be stuck with it if it's a non-pass task.
