When people are first born, the "Creators"
pick where they are to be stationed. Then the child stationed there will have to live in that territory for the rest of their life meanwhile fulfilling their role in the economy in their regions. Only a few people get to travel to different regions, the few "Selected". The people who want to be Selected have to take many tests both physical and mental, and once they pass all exams they get to travel the world delivering important messages. Two friends want to break the cycle and take the tests to be "Selected" but they fail and try to sneak through different regions anyway.
