Werner | 966 comments Since we've created a thread like this every year since 2018, I thought we might as well continue the tradition this year! (In the BU context, "summer" pretty much means the summer break, so from May 7 until mid-to-late August.)

As usual, my reading plans are somewhat uncertain, because I'll probably be taking part in common reads in other groups in June, July and August, and I don't know what books will be selected. But when I finish my current read, I definitely do want to prioritize my review copy of To Love a Viking, by Heather Day Gilbert and Jen Cudmore. And Claiming Her Legacy by Linda Goodnight will be the next "car book" (after our current one) that Barb and I read together. I do plan to read more in The Oxford Book of Fantasy Stories, but I don't know whether I'll finish it or not.

Sharon🔮👽 | 1 comments So far I’ve currently read about 10 books (6 of them were manga—but I’m counting them) for this month. The full novels under my belt are Zodiac Academy (Book 1), Death on the Nile (due to its recent movie adaptation), and a book that was recommended by a friend. I’ve just started an old Book of the Month choice, How to Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days and am about 25% done. Following this book I’ll probably go back to Zodiac Academy and a physical book option.

Werner | 966 comments Sharon, you certainly can count manga! (I'm not into it myself, but three of my grandkids are. :-) ) Death on the Nile got five stars from me back in 2020, when I read it with some reading buddies in another Goodreads group.

Welcome to our group (I see you've just joined)! Besides me, you're the first group member who's commented here in several years; so as you can imagine, I was delighted to see your post. We hope you'll make yourself right at home here, explore our discussion threads and bookshelves, and comment whenever you want to. Happy reading!
