Stephen King 2025 read-along discussion

Hello Constant Readers!!

I say every month..."WOW it's almost..." but truthfully as an adult the months just slip by. The year is practically half gone. My kids also turn 15 and 17 this month OMG. This month we are continuing like always on the path of Lala and her buzzwordathon. This month is direction. Under, is sort of a direction, so I'm counting it :P

This month we are reading Under the Dome. I read this book when it first came out and my kids were babies. It was so good I read it in like 4 days. Under the Dome is about a town (outside of Castle Rock) in Maine. The residents one day find themselves "locked" in their town and unable to get out because there is a barrier surrounding them. Outsiders like the fire department and eventually the military try to get them out. This story is definitely a case study on human reaction. I don't want to give anymore away. If you haven't read this book already, I'm excited to hear what you have to say about it.

Under the Dome was turned into a series between 2013-2015, which you can find on Amazon Prime. I haven't seen it. A movie is fine...., but a series is harder for me to watch on a busy schedule. If you watch the series. Please tell me whether or not it sticks to the book or not.

Super excited for this one! I read it a few years back and loved it. I feel like it's a little underrated to be honest. I have heard mixed things on the series but now that I know it's on prime I'll have to check it out!

I mentally replied to this and am just now realizing I never actually replied lol fail. But this year has seemed like a weird one for me. Feeling kind of slumpy lately. I'm thinking about continuing along in the Dark Tower. I'm still on my first read through lol but my next one would be Wolves of the Calla. Hope you're well!

Lol I've done that before. It's been a hard year for me. Since my daughter passed away I can't stay focus on one thing. I've started around 12 books and put them down lol.... King usually helps me escape:)
