My June is so slammed from what we've discussed in PMs but I have to get to this one. I bought it last month in paperback and I've been wanting to read it for years.
Okay, I'm in....let the book greed continue. I'll find a way to read all the books. ;) hahaha!

Sorry Ginger! lol Didn't mean to slam dunk books into your June read shelf! Hahaha!!! But buying the book last month must have been like an omen or something! LOL Something was whispering in your ear "buy this book as something is coming up"! LOL
Happy to have you aboard Ginger! :)

Whoo-hoo!! LTJ is in the House! Or on the thread - whichever the case may be! LOL
I haven't read Dracula's Guest yet. I loved Dracula though. :)

I have my book ready to go to - I grabbed it from the library as I was worried someone else might grab it and I didn't want to be without it. The library only had one copy of it - so better to be safe than sorry! lol :)

Great idea Marie!

Fantastic LTJ. Glad to see you are joining the vamp mayhem with us!

I might be starting this in a day or so - I have tons of reads for June and I am trying to get a jump start on a few of them! It is going to be a busy month! LOL

I also love the name Thornly. It sounds so British but if I were to have another son (which I will not) I think Wesley and Thornly would go great together.
Well I just went ahead and started.
Not very far in - only 4% (view spoiler)
The journal entry is cool - will be curious to see where it leads. :)

I'm about 110 pages in and I am thoroughly entertained! Definitely some creepy stuff going on, this is fun!
I am 100 pages in. The journal is fascinating but the "now" is really creepy and I am already getting weird dream vibes from it which I don't know what that means exactly as long as I don't have vampires chasing me in my dreams then we are good! LOL

Marie, your comment made me laugh. I was having vampire dreams last night too. WTF...
It's so weird because I usually don't have dreams about the subject of the book that I'm reading. This one is bringing in all the creepy vampire vibes while I slumber. hahaha

We will be reading the book, Dracul by Dacre Stoker.
Story synopsis:
The prequel to Dracula, inspired by notes and texts left behind by the author of the classic novel, Dracul is a supernatural thriller that reveals not only Dracula's true origins but Bram Stoker's--and the tale of the enigmatic woman who connects them.
It is 1868, and a twenty-one-year-old Bram Stoker waits in a desolate tower to face an indescribable evil. Armed only with crucifixes, holy water, and a rifle, he prays to survive a single night, the longest of his life. Desperate to record what he has witnessed, Bram scribbles down the events that led him here...
A sickly child, Bram spent his early days bedridden in his parents' Dublin home, tended to by his caretaker, a young woman named Ellen Crone. When a string of strange deaths occur in a nearby town, Bram and his sister Matilda detect a pattern of bizarre behavior by Ellen--a mystery that deepens chillingly until Ellen vanishes suddenly from their lives. Years later, Matilda returns from studying in Paris to tell Bram the news that she has seen Ellen--and that the nightmare they've thought long ended is only beginning.
Whoever wants to join can and it is voluntary. Please use spoilers when necessary - thank you.
Have fun and enjoy the read!
