Drace (dracenines) | 7392 comments I brought this up in another thread I made as a secondary problem to a bigger issue, but since the issue seems to have grown bigger, I figured it warranted its own thread.

Both the Kindle and ebook editions of the anthology Your Body is Not Your Body have errors in their author list. The Kindle edition (ASIN B09XLV2K2P) has its authors listed out of order, and the ebook edition (ISBN 9798985992311) is missing most of the authors included and has them out of order. Could somebody please correct the author list for both editions so that it matches the correct list? The correct list is as follows:

Alex Woodroe (Editor)
Matt Blairstone (Editor)
L.C. von Hessen
Rain Corbyn
S.A. Chant
F. Tullia Catulla
Viktor Athelstan
M. Lopes da Silva
Meagan Hotz
Ziggy Schutz
Rose Sable
W.N. Derring-Judith
Hailey Piper
Charles Maria Tor
Devaki Devay
Dayna Ingram
Ori Jay
Avi Burton
Gabriel Valentine
Cosmin-Mihai Bîrsan
BitterKarella
Joe Koch
Jei D. Marcade
Rhiannon Rasmussen
Max Turner (there's a bunch of authors by this name and all their stuff has been thrown together)
Taylor J. Pitts
Vincent Endwell
Bri Crozier
G.E. Woods
Morgan G. Robles (Illustrator)
Harrison Webb (Illustrator)
Lex (Illustrator) (this name is very hard to search so i will not be including the actual author link)
Lillian Hochwender (Illustrator)
Becca Snow (Illustrator)
Rieroo (Illustrator)
Cori Walters (Illustrator)
William Taylor (Illustrator)

Huge thanks for catching that.

Drace (dracenines) | 7392 comments Been more than 24 hours, so bumping in hopes that someone will fix the e-book edition's author list.

Drace (dracenines) | 7392 comments Been several days and I've only now had the chance to sit down and check, and the e-book edition still does not have the correct author/editor/illustrator list. Bumping once again.

Drace (dracenines) | 7392 comments Bumping again. The correct authors, editors, and illustrators are still not on the e-book edition. If it would be best to make a new topic just for the e-book edition's issues, please let me know.

Drace (dracenines) | 7392 comments Another 24 hours. bumping yet again.

As a reminder, the e-book's ISBN is 9798985992311. And here's a link: Your Body is Not Your Body

Part of me wants to make an "it's pride month now so if you don't help with this issue you're transphobic" joke, but I'm not sure how that would go over with the librarians, so I'll refrain."

I would delete all the ones that say "I'll keep bumping til this problem is resolved" and "until someone actually fixes this issue" type comments as it sounds like a demand.
I get your frustration but that is most likely the reason no one has jumped in. Even if you don't mean them maliciously, expressing your frustration through some of these snarky comments and jokingly saying "we must be transphobic for not helping" will not get you any help from us.

Fair enough. I've just been at this for nearly a month now and apparently not allowed to delete this thread and make a fresh one, so I'm a bit frustrated. I'll edit some old messages and clean the thread up a bit.

Liralen | 8212 comments Updated the ebook edition, using the author list available in the preview on Amazon.

Please note that fulfilling this request is laborious and time-consuming—the GR system was not made for things like moving authors up and down, so while it's possible, it's slow. We can't drag-and-drop, and moving a single author up or down one space requires refreshing the page—which means that to move a single author up or down 20+ slots (as would be required for the Kindle edition), one would have to refresh the page, then scroll back to the right part of the edit page, more than 20 times. Again, that's for a single out-of-place author.

Someone might opt to delete all the authors currently in place for the Kindle edition and start anew (would definitely be faster—FYI to anyone who wants to do this, use Max^^^Turner), but this is one major reason that motivation can be low to update out-of-order author lists. Similarly, because the book will show on an author's page even if they're only listed on one edition, you'll see that many anthologies on GR don't have the full author list on every edition—admittedly an imperfect solution, but when volunteer librarians are manually adding 10 or 20 or 50 authors, it is what happens.

Thank you so, so much for the insight and for correcting the author list. I'll keep that in mind for any future requests I might have. You've been a huge help.
