Old Books, New Readers discussion

Dear fellow readers,
We are now taking nominations for the June 2022 book of the month!
The theme for June will be “Dated TBR”
Share the book you have wanted to read for some time now, but you have never seemed to find the time or the motivation to get started.
When nominating your book, it would be fun to also share how long you have had the book on your to be read (tbr) list/stack and why you haven’t picked the book up yet.
Remember to also make sure your nomination fits with the group’s rules
Rules
1. One nomination per person.
2. Poll will be set up when we reach 6 valid nominations.
3. Published earlier than 1972.
4. The book must not have been read by the group before, check the shelves! read shelf for Old Books, New Readers Showing 1-30 of 103 | Goodreads
6. To get a wider variety of selections, the nominations may be limited to one book per author.

Where do we see the read shelf? I looked on the app and couldn't find it..?

As far as I know you can sadly only view bookshelves from groups on the website, the app does not seem to have the option :)

I'd like to nominate Coming Up for Air by George Orwell - I think I got this as a Christmas present back in 2015 and haven't had a chance to read it yet. It was published in 1939.
