Homocide and Halo-Halo was okay. Arsenic and Adobo was waaaay better in my opinion.
Gods of Jade and Shadow was good but Death was sooo boring to me. He had very little personality.
Circe was amazing! It's easily in my top 10 reads of the year.
Ohh so many good reads! What's you think of Madeline Miller's books? I read The Song of Achilles a while back and really loved it! I have yet to read Circe though.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine would have to be my May favorite. It wasn't at all what I expected it to be, and I was hooked! I read it in two hours.

It's not my favorite Oseman book but it's still pretty good! I loved the ace/aro representation.

It was interesting! I'd heard so much about The Song of Achillies and Circe but didn't really want to read them. I regret it so much because I loved them! Circe is my personal favorite.
Best book this month?
I read Daughter of the Moon Goddess as well. How did you like it? Oh! And what did you think of The Maid?

Thoughts on Postmortal? I remember reading it a while back, but I don't think I ever finished it for some reason

The Gilded Ones was okay. I think I was expecting more, but it was still good.
Tidesong was cute! I loved the art style and the main characters are adorable.

Darling Girl was hands down the best book I read in June. It was so good!
I was a bit bored with Daughter of the Moon Goddess. I just couldn't get into it.
I thought Molly, the main character in the maid, was a little naive until the end.
I get that with Daughter of the Moon Goddess, I struggled with the relationships in that one.
Molly is Neurodivergent so I liked seeing things from a different type of brain perspective but yes, sometimes I had trouble with wanting to yell at her
Awesome to know about Darling Girl, I do enjoy a good Peter Pan retelling. Have you read

I thought the Flatshare was cute what did you think? Oh! And what did you think of Firekeeper's Daughter?
Also looks like a good month. Any stand out books?

What'd you think of Shatter Me? I read it years ago and remember loving it! But even so, I don't plan on reading the rest of the series 😅

the flat share is cute! and firekeeper's daughter is so powerful! i think about it almost daily.
finlay donovan was a stand out for me! i didn't think i would like it but it exceeded my expectations by a lot

i loved it too and i started unravel me and lost all motivation to read the rest. there's nothing wrong with the book; i just didn't care to finish.
That seems to be a common feeling with Shatter Me. I read book 1 and have no intention of continuing either.
Nice about Finlay Donovan exceeding your expectations!
Nice about Finlay Donovan exceeding your expectations!

I wonder why that is..

@Brittany, Legendborn and Seven Days in June were my favs of August!
@Liliana, I love them! I always went back and forth about reading them, but I'm glad I finally did. I really like Nova!

@Brittany, I really loved it! I can't wait to read the next one once I get my hands on it

@Elena, it was okay. I didn't really like the plot, but I love how the main character and her love interest interact. It gets a bit sad at the end, but it's a bit predictable.
