We learn a lot about Mary Lou’s childhood and upbringing. Did it alter your opinion of her?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Well, I could see why she was so determined to hook a Navy Seal. She thought it would be her Happily Ever After. I sometimes felt bad for her. But when she would make racist remarks about Alyssa or other people of color, it really burned me.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Every time something new was revealed about Mary Lou's life, I began to feel a bit sorry for her. Then she would do, say or think something so ugly that any minor feeling of sympathy would evaporate in seconds.

She had a pretty miserable childhood and I felt bad for her. But, so many others have tough childhoods and emerge with more empathy for others. Mary Lou couldn’t be more selfish and focused on her own desires. It really is all about her. And, her bigotry is hard to get beyond.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Even factoring in her sad childhood, I couldn't bring myself to give her a break. She didn't have many good qualities except that she did love her daughter. I hope she loves her daughter enough to give her time with her father.

True! I wouldn’t be surprised if she uses Haley as a weapon.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I always suspected that her upbringing wasn't the best, but to trap a man is no way to get your HEA. I resent that Mary Lou used her body the way she did. I absolutely hate that her sister set her up with the faulty condoms thinking she was "helping" her.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Yes Anita. It is bad enough that Mary Lou was trying to deceive Sam, the fact that her sister helped is worse yet.
