Diane White | 3 comments I read (listened) to this book 3 days. I loved the book and the characters. It was engaging and went at the right pace.

Heather | 50 comments I found this completely compelling. The use of tension and foreshadowing, the character development..just chef’s kiss!

Brittin (brittsc) | 40 comments It took me a lot longer than expected to get around to this book, and now I'm wondering what I was waiting for - I found it to be a page turner with a lot of food for thought as well. The issues of Islamaphobia, nationalism, and recent political division permeate th story without overtaking the tension of the mystery. The retelling of the nearly century-old Leopold and Loeb case is blended seemlessly into a modern day crime.

Kelly | 10 comments This was a gripping and heartbreaking read. I didn't realize that this was inspired by a true crime case until the author's notes at the end. Very well written with excellent pacing.
