I don’t always check my email and when I did Friday, I saw that I have gotten an email from Goodreads letting me know that they are getting rid of some of their features. They have listed the ones that I’d used and informed me that I can download my data.

Check the email that you have set your Goodreads account with to see which features you will no longer be able to use.

If you did not get an email, it could be because you did not use the features that Goodreads are getting rid of.

Did you check the email that you have created your Goodreads account with? They give the download data in the email.

Yes, I received an email from Goodreads also. Some features that you may be using will be removing such as favorite authors, if you own books they are fading that out too. You will have to make a column of your own for physical books if you own any.

It is better to check your emails and search for the Goodreads email that you received.

Yes I have checked my email that I used for my Goodreads account, and I still have not received this email. I have only received emails regarding books that I have finished reading and the sneak peek emails on what my friends are reading. I will keep checking and will even check my spam just in case.

These are the features that Goodreads noted me using that they are getting rid of.

If you didn’t receive an email and the features that I share are features that you have used and you want to keep your data, then contact their help desk and let them know that you did not receive an email. Maybe you didn’t get an email, because you did not use the features they are getting rid of.

Updates to reviews creation
To streamline the review creation page on desktop, we will no longer include the options of who recommended a book and who to recommend it to after July 5, 2022. If you would like to recommend a book to a friend on Goodreads, you can do this easily from the recommend a book page. If you would still like to record who recommended it within the book review, we suggest you add this directly to the review or in the private notes section on the review edit page (learn how to add a private note).

Owned books,
As part of streamlining our reviews creation page on desktop, we're phasing out the option to add details about owned books such as condition and purchase date on July 5, 2022. Members will still have the option to mark a book as owned within the 'more details' section when writing their review on desktop. You can later view a list of your owned books by adding the owned books column in My Books (learn how to customize the My Books page). Visit our help center to learn how to create and add books to your 'owned' bookshelf.

Friend stories, Quizzes, Trivia, and/or Adding a photo to a bookGoodreads will no longer support the creation of new quizzes, trivia, friend stories in the friend list, or photos to a book page effective July 5, 2022. These features will be removed from Goodreads on Sept. 1, 2022.

Yes that is the email most people are receiving. I'm guessing there are many more features that people use, but I do use the own books section.

I don’t remember using that feature. I own my books. I add my books to certain shelves.

Thanks for providing this email information. The features that were mentioned in the email are not ones that I used. Maybe that is why I did not receive the email. Again, thanks for your help.
