The (U.S.) Supreme Court decision in Dobbs has devastated me. As a result, I'm just trying to continue to function as a lawyer and person in the real world.
27 years ago, I took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. I have kept my oath to the Constitution; the Constitution has not kept its promise of equality and freedom to me. I am in an existential crisis.
Therefore, I'm just not able to be around much right now. The group will be taking a break from side reads for the summer. I'll be back in mid-August to start discussing restarting side-reads for the fall.
I will open the threads for the July & August Christie reads in the next few days. I will try to get back here to participate in those discussions, but I make no promises. I need time to process my anger and the internet is a bad place for me right now.
I'm not allowing comments on this post - it is for information only. I am not interested in discussing the political issue within the confines of this group.
