Have you all joined our Facebook group yet? Same idea different name and platform! Myself and Lulu are Admins. Starting August 1st ONE FACEBOOK ONLY<\b> we are reading Memphis. If you’d like to read along as well as join random book conversations please join!
This group DOES NOT replace Black Coffee via GR. So don’t worry. We are still here!

Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments I am enjoying Memphis, surprisingly, since I read some negative reviews.

Karin | 627 comments This one has mixed reviews among my GR friends, but I'll give it a try. Still not doing much with FB other than announcing my kids' university graduations (quite late.) I go on there a couple of times a year, usually in a bit of a cluster, so will wait for this discussion :)

Hey Karin! I’m still here just caught up in the busy world that is my life. Lol.

I’m still reading the book Dosha and I selected for August (Your Blues Ain’t Like Mine). I’m sooooo behind.

I was trying to come up with a book for October but I’m drawing a blank.

Any ideas?

Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments I am only starting chapter 23 of Your Blues Ain’t Like Mine. Life has a way of getting in the way sometimes and I don’t have as much discretionary time to sit back, relax and read as I wish.

So many ideas. I'll have to think. What about Song Yet Sung by James McBride?

Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments I loved Song Yet Sung. In my opinion, that was one of his best books!

Same here, and I'd be up for a reread!

I haven’t read it. Shall we make it our October read?
