I'm involved with a group working to bring the deaf community more into the motion picture industry. When we were brainstorming what sort of production should be our first, it was suggested that we give them a hero.
The Shadow Guardians were born that day.
A team of vigilantes, but each member has what mainstream society would call a handicap. The Team Lead is blind and a brilliant hacker, His origin story (The Blind Smith) is where the SG Saga kicks off. In the next book we will reveal the origins of the Field Leader, a deaf woman who takes it to the streets without fear or hesitation. The script for the film is already written and slated to begin production this Fall (fingers crossed).

Great concept! I worked with the developmentally disabled for many years. The protagonist in a sci-fi novel I wrote suffers from schizophrenia. I applaud your efforts! My sister taught hearing impaired children in a special program. I wish you much success!
