This challenge is meant to help you climb your TBR Mountain and get those books finally read.

This will be a quarterly challenge, with a new theme each quarter. For Quarter 3 2022 the theme will be doing something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!

• Something old can be something that has been on your TBR for a long time, is an older book, features an older H/h…
• Something new can be something that has only just appeared on your TBR, is newly published, has the word new in the title…
• Something borrowed – something you can borrow from the library, the word borrow (or it is too hard skip this one)
• Something blue can be the cover, a title featuring the word blue…

Choose 5 books using a combination of the themes above, or just pick any title off your TBR just because. As usual - there are no rules.....Have fun!

This is flexible and the purpose is to get some books moved from TBR to Read shelf, so have has much fun with this theme as you want:

HOW IT WORKS:
1) The first poster will post 5 book titles that they pick from their TBR shelf.

2) The next poster will choose 2 books from the first poster's titles and choose 5 book titles off their own TBR. The first poster will then choose to read at least 1 of the 2 books chosen.

3) The third poster will choose 2 from the second posters list .... and so on.

4) Each participant will have the entire quarter to read their book(s), post their rating and review. And tell us what you think of your book in this thread.

5) You are not limited to 1 time. You can return to select and post more options as often as it suits you

2. Something Wicked by Jo Beverley. Malloren series. Another series I have read some but not all of. I've read #1 and #2 not too long ago, and this is #3. First published in 1997, so, OLD

3. Miss Desirable by Grace Burrowes. A June 2022 release, so, NEW

4. Truly Beloved by Grace Burrowes. The cover has a woman in a very pretty blue frock, so, BLUE
Truly Beloved (True Gentlemen #11) by Grace Burrowes

5. Only Enchanting by Mary Balogh. I've read most of this series but not this one. Another one that's been on my tbr since 2017 LOL. So, OLD

Lauren | 1369 comments @dardella, z library had it for free. I think this is Johanna Lindsey first book. It was actually a BOTM in April I think. Did you like Captive Bride?

message 16: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1369 comments Jenny867, I hope I choose right for you. Lady Gallant is favorite of mine. I'll be curious on what you think.

I'm up for a Buddy R ead of Flowers From The Storm. I'll set it up and see if anyone wants to join.

T. Rosado (trosado) | 193 comments Shaz, thanks for the picks. I’m starting A Caribbean Heiress in Paris today. In fact, it looks like I’ll be able to finish both picks in July, with two months to spare. This will be a first that I’m not putting off at least one for the last month of the quarter. Lol. For fun, I might have to come back and offer up another five choices.

T. Rosado (trosado) | 193 comments I finished my picks for this quarter. Thanks Shaz!

A Caribbean Heiress in Paris (Las Léonas, #1) by Adriana Herrera
I loved this one. I haven rated/reviewed this yet, but I’m leaning towards 4.5 stars.

A Daring Pursuit (Ruthless Rivals, #2) by Kate Bateman
3.5 stars. This was was cute and enjoyable. Although, I didn’t care for the secondary romantic trope where the H educates the h on sexual pleasure. This trope always feels too modern to me.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments Hope you enjoyed your books T.
I have not yet got round to reading mine yet.
One is a Tudor read so Will also be okay for next month’s Tudor read. ✔️

Jan (jan130) | 2666 comments I finished one of my challenge books for this quarter - yay! Someone to Hold by Mary Balogh. I don't know why, but I've read most of the other books in the series but somehow missed out on this one, #2! Anyway, this challenge finally motivated me to read it, and it turned out to be one of the better books in the series. I enjoyed it. 3.5 - 4 stars.
Someone to Hold (Westcott, #2) by Mary Balogh

Now to read my other book :)

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments Well done Jan. I have 3 books in the series, but have not got round to reading them yet.
Mary Balogh and Eloisa James were the authors who got me reading historical romance.
I still have 1 book to read for this challenge.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments Started to read my second book for this challenge.
Celeste Bradley’s , And Then Comes Marriage .

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments I have finished the second bookfor this challenge And Then Comes Marriage (Worthington, #2) by Celeste Bradley And Then Comes Marriage I ejoyed the story, but thought it could have been better. 3.5 stars
