(I somehow forgot about this challenge until now...So we are bringing it back.)

Welcome to the second quarter of this feature here at Christian Fiction Bloggers!

Challenge runs from July-September, 2022.*
*because I'm posting this one late, the challenge takes place from July 5-October 5th, 2022

How it works:
1-go to your "want to read" shelf (or if you have a different shelf you want to use, that is fine too).
2-see how many books are on your shelf
3-go to https://www.random.org/ and put the number of books that are on your shelf into the True Random Number Generator (put the number in the "max:" line
4-hit generate
5-find the book that is at that position on your shelf and post here what book you will be reading
6-read that book within the quarter. :)
7-post here when finished and let us know what you thought of it!

I'm using my want-to-read shelf. Number 41 was chosen:

How fun! I created a "series in progress" shelf for this. This was the pick. It was supposed to release this month but has been delayed until 2023 most likely per author.



Drawing again, I got this one...it releases October 1.

This is a fun way to choose a book. I used my Kindle-tbr list and number 80 was chosen.

At Bluebonnet Lake

I set up a "Randomizer" shelf for this one and put books on it that are part of various series that I have already begun. This will help me choose a book for a series challenge I am working on.

Me too, actually. She's super hit and miss for me, so I'm always a little nervous through those first few chapters -- more than that if things suddenly go off the rails for some reason. But she still has enough good, solid stories for me to keep coming back for more of this anxious-torture stuff I put myself through for weeks before finally picking up the next Coble book. And when I strike upon a great one, I tend to binge through quite a few of her stories!

What a great idea! I assume these should be Christian books? Many on my want to read list are not Christian or faith based, however. I am getting some good ideas from the books people are posting, however!>

It doesn’t have to be Christian, just a book from your chosen shelf. :)

I'm joining late. The randomizer chose 408 on my want-to-read shelf. It's
I started it once but never finished. It's not Christian, but I think it will be clean enough. My perspective on a lot of things has changed since I first picked it up, which means I might like it better.

I didn't realize Edge of Dusk was beginning a spin-off series of the Rock Harbor series, which I haven't yet finished. I'm going to go ahead and repick and then circle back to Edge when I finish Rock Harbor.

I enjoyed the reading of it, though it wasn't the type of book I generally read. I enjoyed the way the author put all the pieces of the plot together, and I liked the characters, cultures, and setting. From a Christian standpoint, there are a lot of bad things I could say about it, and I wouldn't recommend it to a teen (the audience) unless there was a lot of discussion with them afterward. So my review is mixed.

I'm trying my best to finish before the quarter ends.

I haven’t had a chance to begin my book. Life!

I tried to have my book done today, but it will not happen. I did get 1/4 (26%) of the book done and I am really enjoying it. Bluebonnet Lake would be a nice place to visit. At least I got to meet my new grandson today, and that took away a lot of my reading time... but it was so worth it. I am sure I will finish the book soon.

I finished my book on October 3rd! Was away on vacation so slowly catching up on all my books.
