Historical Romance Book Club discussion

Guys, I need help finding a book. I forgot the author's name, but I vaguely remember part of the story.

The protagonist is young girl and she lives as a protege of a wealthy noble. Everyone thinks she's his lover. I’m pretty sure she tends to the man’s health.

One day visitors arrives at the mansion and one of them is a libertine who discovers the girl's fame and decides to seduce her.

Other than that, she is very fond of herbs, especially belladonna.

The rest I don't remember. Does anyone know what book it is?

The closest book I can think of is Fanning The Flame by Kat Martin, but I don't think that's the book you want. Do you remember what era the book takes place?

Passion's Song by Carolyn Jewel the h is a music protégé, but most know she's her father's illegitimate daughter.

He decides to marry the h, so he can have an heir and go about his business. I believe the h has a brother and the H's mother later shows up.

Sounds a little like The Temporary Wife, an older Mary Balogh book.

I'm looking for a book that has three poor sisters. I think their father left them. The eldest is keeping a secret with some loyal servant. They have to marry before anybody finds out though her clothes are pretty obvious. I can't remember if the middle daughter is beautiful.

The H flirts and pursues her a little until he has to marry her. He hates his father. He takes his bride to the country, spends incredible nights together, then leaves and returns a couple weeks later. Her sisters think it's a love match.

I think there are three books in the series and this is book 1.

Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Could be , Courting Trouble (Goode Girls series) by Kerrigan Bynes

No, I just started reading Kerrigan Byrnes. The book is not as dark or memorable as some of KB books. It's only once they marry that he pushes her away, and that's past the middle of the book.

oh, the story probably takes place in the Regency era but could be Victorian. I'm not a lot of help i know :( I might have to go through every book I read a year ago.

First 3 books about sisters. Father is horrible leaves them in poverty, while he drinks and Gambled

I totally cant think of the name, so I'm here for help.

Its about a Duke, I think they call him the Duke of Ice. The MFC goes to a house party with her cousin I think because her mother makes her. She had planned on staying home with her cousin. The Duke and the MFC happen to be in a little boat together where the young lady had a dress malfunction and her breast falls out of the dress. I do remember her mother had the maid pack the old dress, so it was too small. I also remember the MFC had given up twins that she had out of marriage when she was young.
I appreciate the help. I cant believe I don't remember this book name!

Its not The Wallflowers, The Ravenels, or the Hathaways so far that I have seen. I'll keep you updated on my search..:-)

Now I want to re read Lisa Kleypas...LOL
