Paula | 31 comments I was here thinking that I've read many contemporary novels but no historical novels written that way... do they exist? Good ones?

Tina | readinginbliss (readinginbliss) | 20 comments Hmm, good question! I've never come across that but then again, first person pov can irriate me a little! Lol! I hope someone can help you!

Jan (jan130) | 2663 comments Interesting question and something I have wondered about before. Some very famous historical classics have first person narrators e.g. Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights.

But it seems like it's not a thing in current HR writing. I often enjoy this style in CRs, and I would like to try a 'modern-written' HR in this style. Intrigued to see whether there are any suggestions.

Paula | 31 comments I believe it might be difficult to write, but for me it would be quite a read, I like this style in CR too!
I would love to read considering the pov of the time.

Missy | 1477 comments Edenbrooke (Edenbrooke, #1) by Julianne Donaldson Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson is written in first person from the heroine's POV. Is that what you're asking for?? It's a clean romance though with maybe one or two kisses at the end.
