- Each month's totals will be collated and the member with the most points at the end of the year will have bragging rights.

Lynn - a couple of quick questions for you. When looking foe a word in a title, do subtitles or series names count? Also, are plurals or imbedded words work?

For example, one of the words I can use for task #7 is "cause." Would either "causes" or "because" be acceptable or are we looking for exact words only?

August (2022) Monthly Challenge
Monthly Challenge: 1st to 31st August

Progress: 10 out of 10

Only books read during the challenge period are allowed.

Guidelines:
- Read ONE book for each category (10 books in total).
- You don't have to read all ten categories, just read whatever you are able.
- Any genres are acceptable.
- Any book length is acceptable.

For the competitive (optional)
- At the end of each month, document your finished books in the reporting thread
- 1pt for each book completed, 2pts for any book that is on the 2021 Goodreads winners and nominees list
- Each month's totals will be collated and the member with the most points at the end of the year will have bragging rights.

Notes:
- Plurals are allowed but not imbedded
- Subtitles count but not series titles
- When a task talks about finding a certain book (your first completed or whatever), if you don't have that to hand 1) see if you can use the 'look inside' feature on Amazon and if that doesn't work 2) move on to the next book you have available.

1. Go to the acknowledgements of the last book that you've read. The first name you see, find a book by an author with the same name (can be first, middle of surname):
