I am planning to read and which I pulled up on kindle and (barely) started, just to make sure I would like them. I've had a few duds lately I didn't finish.

Is this red enough, or is it more brown?

It fits another challenge of mine, too, so I hope so!

Finished both of mine already- I didn't realize The Woman on the Island was actually a short story and a prequel to the Vera series (I liked it.) Black Magic Kitten was a cozy (first in series) and a fun world (magical) I'll read more of.

Finished . Was better than I expected as most books on using lessons from sports in other parts of life end up disappointing - but not this one.

Finished , gave it 4 stars. Really enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one in the series.

Finished , gave it 5 stars. A wonderful story about resilience and love. It showed the true strength of humans to survive under the worst conditions possible. The story flows so easily that you are able to feel like you are on a journey with the characters. It is amazing that these people were able to endure what they did and come out of it with each other. Definitely recommend this book.

Giving 2 stars to . I liked the main characters, but the book just rambled on and on w/o anything happening.

Finished gave it 3 stars. It was not bad, just did not hold my interest.

Lindsey~Glad you liked , that book has interested me for a while.
The Four Winds thought was terrific, and Stay Awake was a really page turning and great thriller. I’m picky about thrillers, but this one thought was really worth reading. Hope you like them.

I loved this book- but I am very character driven, especially with what I consider "cozy" mysteries.

I finished reading today. One of the oldest books on my TBR. 4 stars, but not an easy summer read. I think this book would be perfect to read in the winter.

Finished This has been on my kindle almost a decade 😳 finally read, nice second chance contemporary romance.

I read a quirky collection of short stories, very fast read. Recommended for Margaret Atwood fans.

Finished All three were 3 stars, ok reads but not great. I attempted to start ,part two of smoke and bone, a few days after finishing the first in the series and by chapter four realized I was not invested and could care less about the character. Sad because I liked and the smoke and bone series has tons of great reviews.

I finally read this last year, and I agree with you. It's a winter book.

Finished , gave it 5 stars. A very complex book that urges you to figure out "whodonit." I enjoyed the immense amount of character development that took place. There are so many different themes for this book such as good vs. evil, free will vs. fate, and manipulation. Overall it was a page turner and fantastic murder-mystery. Every question you have from the beginning of the book will be answered by the end, and I didn't have a clue to the truth until it was revealed.

Bonnie - I have found that I am not really a fan of cozy mysteries. I didn't know this was one when I started it. I picture cozies as having covers that I just love, with beautiful, comfy scenes!

I finished and loved . I was on an island while reading about a bookstore on an island! So fun! 5 stars.

I find British version cozies are not quite as light/cozy and American ones. I actually prefer the semi cozy :)
