Ethan survives an attack at Eversby Prior with a little help from Garrett and West, again ordered by Jenkyn. He and Garrett go to see Jenkyn where he attempts to kill Ethan, only to be thwarted by Garrett. He’s brought down because of the information Ethan provided to the press. Given the breadth of the corruption, did Ethan have any other alternatives in exposing these men? Was this a risky move? What could have gone wrong?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments He had no other choice. He really was out of options on who he could trust to thwart this conspiracy.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments It's probably the best thing he could have done. The press was a neutral party in this, so he didn't have to worry that he was telling the wrong person, like Fred Felbrigg. It also guaranteed that the story would get out, so there was no reason to try to shut Ethan up.

That’s a great point, Robin! I hadn’t thought about how it removed the target from his back.

I couldn’t see any other alternative and though risky, it was the least risky of any other path.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I agree, Robin. Telling the press was the best option for him.
