There are a few lists on Listopia that represent forgotten and obscure gems. Here are the ones I know about - please add others, if you know of them!

Then there are THESE whopping great (both in scale and content!) lists:

Children's Fantasy 1900s-1990s
listed by decade - all lists contain links to the other decades
i.e. Children's Fantasy of the 1940s: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/8...

Children's Time Travel Fiction 1900s-1990s
listed by decade - all lists contain links to the other decades
i.e. Children's Time Travel Fiction of the 1960s: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/8...

Jane Nissen Books
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
Jane Nissen republished a bunch of old children's books, but sadly it looks like the publisher no longer exists now.

Guides and Scouts

You need to sift through the more modern stuff that's irrelevant to us, but from about page 2 onwards there are some really great vintage "Girl's own" and "Boy's own" style titles.

SBC (essbeecee) | 10 comments I'm not sure if anyone in this group is interested in vintage nursery rhyme collections? I've had some beloved copies for years but have recently started collecting more when I can get them on the cheap at booksales, etc! To educate myself on what might be out there, I've started a collection of Listopia lists on Nursery Rhymes of the XXXXs (by decade). I'm having to do a fair amount of Goodreads Librarian editing to identify and tidy up appropriate books for the lists (which I'm enjoying!) but wanted to do a shout out in case anyone else is interested in the same topic and has their own favourites to add to the lists. I think it will be a slow project on my end :) Here's the 1980s one (which has a link to the others). I intend to create more for other decades, but thought I'd consolidate some work on these first :) https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...

Oh nice project, SBC! Outside of my area of expertise, but will happily add when and where I can! :)

Will you be expanding it to include the 1800s (not necessarily by decade)?

SBC (essbeecee) | 10 comments Yes, I thought I'd have a single Pre-20th century list. Will try to create that one soon! :)

Yay! Another question - I assume these lists are for collections only, not books based on a single nursery rhyme?

SBC (essbeecee) | 10 comments Yes, just for collections. :)
