Jaybee | 78 comments Lots of good books in that list!

I read The Secret Bridesmaid and The Worst Best Man. I’m not a huge romance fan, so I can’t say that I loved them, but it’s summer time and light and fluffy are always good.

Alicia (readersbeadvised) | 124 comments I highly recommend Crying in H Mart. I listened to it and want to go back and reread it (and that doesn't happen often)!

message 4: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 71 comments That reminds me, I meant to read The House in the Cerulean Sea for this year's challenge. Better move it to the front of the shelf!

Susan D'Entremont (susande) | 286 comments Kathleen wrote: "That reminds me, I meant to read The House in the Cerulean Sea for this year's challenge. Better move it to the front of the shelf!" I got that book in a package from a bookstore of "Books that Give Us Comfort," and I really liked it. A good antidote to pandemic and politics woes.

Susan D'Entremont (susande) | 286 comments I listened to the audio version of The Guncle, and found it funny and endearing. A good summer read!

message 7: by Mirkat (new)

Mirkat | 276 comments I'm behind a week, I guess, but I just finished Arsenic and Adobo .

message 8: by Simona (new)

Simona Fish | 7 comments I finished This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger. I liked it but it was a little too long. Too many characters.

message 9: by Alicia (new)

Alicia (readersbeadvised) | 124 comments I'm picking up a copy of Project Hail Mary because it is on my list to read, but in the meantime, I finished the audiobook of Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World and stayed up way too late reading the new Candace Fleming book Murder Among Friends: How Leopold and Loeb Tried to Commit the Perfect Crime which is the true crime sory of Leopold and Loeb (who I recognized the names but didn't know the story). It's a MUST read!

Awesome, I've emailed them but I'm continuing to read anyway and enjoy seeing what everyone else is reading and recommending.

Hahaha, Susan! So far the adults (on Goodreads at least) have been picking solid books!

message 21: by Joyce (new)

Joyce Bouchard | 8 comments I finished Book Lovers by Emily Henry. Fun beach book. References to books and movies were amusing.

Love Emily Henry! Her others are equally entertaining!

message 23: by Simona (new)

Simona Fish | 7 comments I just finished Honor by Thrity Umrigar. I didn't love it but I liked it a lot and it was a pretty quick read.

message 24: by Jaybee (new)

Jaybee | 78 comments Yay, thanks, I can’t wait to get my shirt.

I read Daisy Darker last night and was enjoying it so much until the end. I don’t want to give anything away, so I’ll just say that the twist was not original and it ruined the whole book for me.

message 25: by Vickie (new)

Vickie | 38 comments Last night I finished "Somebody's Daughter." Six down, can I finish 4 more before the time is up?

message 26: by Mya (new)

Mya Burns | 10 comments I read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. The first book in the series was better, but I’m eager to see how the author will bring everything together in the third book
