Schoon genoeg

A book about extreme cleaning service. Mostly after people have been dead for a while before they were found.

A book about a resistance movement in Germany during WWII"
this is on my list - i read a book of free verse poetry about them a few years ago

There is a pretty good movie about the Scholl siblings from the 80s. Don‘t know if it‘s available dubbed or with English subtitles though.
I am restarting The Greeks: A Global History by Roderick Beaton. I am reading it with a couple of others in another GR group. I bought a copy of Herodotus' The Histories. I choose to read a more popular history lite book instead.

Thank you, Julie. I am doing a city study this year and have been looking for a German city book that spoke to to me. This may be it

It took me til the evening after the readathon to finally read a nonfiction book. I really enjoyed Cory Doctorow's novelAttack Surface, and still had some checkouts left on my library hoopla, so I checked out and listened to Information Doesn't Want to Be Free: Laws for the Internet Age, a great source and format for this book btw. I highly recommend both, but Information Doesn't Want to Be Free is a faster, shorter read and covers more real info than the novel.
Now I'm listening to the audiobook of another Docotrow nonfiction, Content: Selected Essays on Technology, Creativity, Copyright, and the Future of the Future, but via youtube, because while the library source without a numerical checkout limit had this audiobook, that site always times out at least once during an audiobook and logs you out in the middle of the night for site updates, which makes listening late at night frustrating. (This is a relevant note considering the topics of these books.) A side effect of these books- I am feeling a lot more motivated to get back to updating my sadly-neglected blog now.
