I was messaging Lynn a super long explanation of something that happened it took me nearly 30 minutes to write and this is before bedtime for me and then I scroll up to reread it and make sure it’s good when… I scrolled less then a millimeter further and lost it all for good. Then I wrote “I’ll explain it in a sec but a lot shorter” and just sent a link.
Same thing happened to a review I ever so carefully wrote on my least favorite book. I even carefully translated (not Google translate just on my own) everything between English and the language the book was in and then same thing and instead of a helpful review to help people decide if they wanted to read it they got a cranky grumpy annoyed review.
The second time something like that happened I just went strait to the App Store and wrote a review on it

These all are very good complaints

They should add a quick delete for your shelves. So you can go through without having to select every single book.

1. The compare books button should be available in the app. It's not really helpful to get recommendations from people with totally different tastes in books.

2. There should be a "not interested" button for recommendations it gives you that you don't want

3. there should be a way for you to filter out what kind of updates you want on your home page. I don't always want to hear when someone adds to their "want to read".

Things Goodreads should add:
-Favorite Authors section on profiles
-Favorite Authors in the bio (similar to how they have the favorite genres)
-A feature to let friends/no one/GR community see what groups you are in

Things Goodreads should fix:
-Y'all know when you're checking out a book, or a review, and the website has that little pop-up that says like "Hey! We're trying out a new format, let us know what we think here!" and they have a link? Well they should add that to the entire website, not just the book review thing-

Things Goodreads should add:

- Being able to see if someone is online or not with an icon on their profile pic
- Half stars
- Dark mode

I would loveeeee half star reviews and more review options: for example you can rate the world building, the characters and the spice...
