introduction aug. 17, 2022
i should tell you a few facts about me, curious viewer. my name is Alice, or you can shorten my username to Persi (pronounced Percy). i'm making this journal to show my life and some of the writings and doodles i've created.
i love small bookstores and going thrifting. in my spare time, i collect fountain pens and many, many rolls of washi tape.
my book tastes are often young adult . . but my ultimate favorites tend to be on the weirder side. i like strange, whimsical tales. the more obscure the book, the better.
those are some things about me! there is so much more, so i hope you take interest in the following entries :)

i've begun reading The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte. of all three sisters, she is the least regarded. that's why i'm excited to read it and see whether her obscurity is deserved or not.
i saw one of my rabbits, Smokey, flopped on the floor today. it was super cute. my other bunny, Bandit, often sleeps in his tunnels so i never get to see him like that. nonetheless, they're very cute little buns.
picnic date aug. 21, 2022
i went on a date with my partner. we went to a place called the secret beach by my community. it's a small beach found walking a small hiking trail. we ate strawberry shortcake, listened to our playlist, and splashed in the water. at one point my friend came with their guitar to play us the Buddy Holly riff and it was hilarious. overall, it was a great time.
afterwards i hung out with my friends. there's nothing better than sneaking out at night to a gas station, sitting on the edge of a curb while drinking monster.

yes, i have two! their names are Smokey and Bandit. i actually don't know, i got them for free, so i guess i didn't think it was that important to ask. i'll post a picture of them one day. :)

yesterday i decided to go with my friend to a bagel shop. the bagels were amazing, the pickles were pretty bad. then i went to World Market. i got a pin for my partner that says "Olive you." cheesy, i know, but my partner is very cheesy.
i also got a few drawings done and got some ideas sketched. i'm trying to work on my portfolio, even though it's due years from now. better to be ready earlier than later!
my weekend sept. 26, 2022
my weekend was a blast. i went to savannah, georgia. since that's where SCAD is, that little area is a very artsy place to be in. i finally found a tarot deck that speaks to me. it has the most beautiful illustrations of faeries and mermaids and all things whimsical. i also ended up buying some needle felting supplies. i made a felted mushroom, though it looks a bit wonky.
i also found this used bookstore and got this book called The Lady Killer by Masako Togawa. it has this noir vibe to it and when i'm reading it i can almost smell cigarette smoke and hear jazz in the background. and there was also this cafe that had a lavender latte. it tasted very sugary, but it was still very nice.
