SFF Readalongs led by Kitty G discussion

So, this was the other most voted for book which we have selected as a group for March and I have to say this is one I've been intrigued by for a while. As I'm sure many of you know this is a book which is named 'flintlock fantasy' which is a fairly new-ish style of writing where there are firearms invloved (generally flintlocks). I believe this also falls (naturally) under 'Millitary Fantasy' and that's something I have not really delved into yet so it's something I'm intrigued by.

I read Promise of Blood last year which is also known as Flintlock and I liked bits of it but wasn't keen on the writing style. I feel like for me this book might be a more engaging read as after talking to lots of people who like similar books to me, they all recommended it.

I believe that the second book in this series is already out but the third is due to be published in July. Therefore if I like this book I may read the next in preparation for that!

Overall I don't know a massive amount about this book specifically but I have heard a lot of very good things and I am sure it will be a fun one to read. I look forward to delving into it with you all so let me know who's taking part and what interests you about this book!

I'm planning to start this book on the 9th of March just in case any one is wondering why I've yet to post in this group :)
