I didn't get far into the book today but did get to read another chapters.

Chapter Two is about Captain Marcus d'Ivoire. I didn't enjoy this chapter as much as the prologue and chapter one but there were some bits I found amusing.

The paperwork part is funny. Dang that paperwork! Personally, I'd hand it off to Fitz.

Spending a few millennia being violated by demons with red-hot pokers was beginning to sound like a nice change of pace.

The other part is how Prince Exopter was described.

His own hair was cropped short beneath an elaborate painted wig that to Marcus' eyes resembled a gaggle of snakes having an orgy, and his gray-skinned face was slathered in white and red makeup so think that it was practically a mask.

That would be so funny to see.

I'm currently on page 51 and going to start Chapter Three, which is about Winter. This chapter should be better.
