Classic Trash discussion

I read this book about a week ago because it arrived early at my library.

I really liked the descriptions of places in Harlem. I’ve never been there, so that was interesting to read. I also liked the main character, Mali, alot. (No spoilers about the plot.)

I can’t help but think that this would be a better movie. It would be exponentially better with the Harlem music and scenery.

Harlem is definitely a “character” in this book.

I am bout halfway through and enjoying it so far. I also like Mali a lot.
