Feed question

I'm listening to the audiobook version of Feed, and it includes a good many audio snippets of the ads and such on the protagonist's "feed" between chapters and even occasionally in the midst of the action. I'm curious -- How are those rendered in the print version? Or are they just extra to the audiobook?
