Hey question... I'm a brand new writer trying to find a decent publisher.....

Page wants money up front...umm

For all the ppl using a publisher can u please help a newbie to it

the general rule is if a publisher wants money up front they're a vanity publisher. That's not necessarily a terrible thing, but it depends on what you actually want out of your book. If you want to pay a chunk of money just so you can say "I've got a book" then a vanity is one way of doing it but by no means the least or even best. I think it really depends on what you actually want to happen to your book.

In regard to messages, only friends can PM/DM unless the default is changed in settings. I think I've changed my settings to permit anyone to message me, but Goodreads is tricky. Give it a shot.
