Grace Meredith (koreantrash) This is a modern classic, and I've been wanting to read it for eons. It's set in Ethiopia, which is pretty foreign for an American like me.

Hi Grace, if you're posting from a computer, can you think about adding the week folder for your next topics? If you're posting from the app, just tell us the week in your title, it will be easier to know where to move it ;)

Ethiopia sounds interesting, I hope you'll enjoy the book!

Emily I read this a few years ago and loved it. I found the story fascinating. I hope you enjoy it!

Steph Loved this book! I hope that those who choose this one love it as much as I did.

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) I finished it and I enjoyed it so much! The writing was so bold and passionate; it was worthy of 500+ pages!

Marina | 272 comments I've never heard of this book before, but it sounds really interesting, so I've just added it to my to-read list.

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) You will be so happy once you've read it (well, actually, you'll be shocked and sad because so many people died, but that's beside the point).

Marina | 272 comments I've read other books that take place in an African country and they often leave you a little sad, but I still find it interesting reading about a life and culture so different from my own.

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) My dad actually owns an Ethiopian restaurant, so I'm quite familiar with their culture. I love the food.
