Lyana sat down at a table, cleaning her sword Chrysos. She had just fought with it and it was pretty dirty.

Lya sighed. She wanted to fight someone again but there were only a few good opponents in the whole camp, and she had defeated most of those anyways.

Lya heard the conch shell for dinner so she headed there.

Lya swung Chyrsos, her golden sword, in the air. Her mom gave it to her right before she died, so it was easily the most precious thing she owned.

Lya looked her up and down and sighed. Ignoring Ezra, she continued to practice.

"Sure," Lya muttered reluctantly and got into a battle stance. She knew this girl was one of the best sword fighters in the camp, as was Lya.

Lya raised Chrysos and waited for Ezra to start.

Lya easily blocked the strike and feigned striking, then switched directions at the last second.

A split second before it touched her shoulder, Lya super-speeded out of the way and twisted so that her sword touched Ezra's back.

Lya ducked and rolled between Ezra's open feet, sensing that she was about to put the sword on her shoulder.

Lya blocked the strike and twisted her arm, trying to get her to drop the sword.

((Omg all this is now is trying to get there character to evade the other XD))

Lya frowned. "You good?" She hadn't exactly planned that, but still. She felt kinda bad.

She gave her an amused smile. "No one's ever challenged me that much before, and I have to say, if I hadn't used my superspeed, you would've won."

"It is if you want somebody to jump off a cliff," Lya said with a shrug. Half the people she'd met made her want to do that. They just annoyed her and weren't worth her time.

"You're Ezra, right?" Lya said, raising an eyebrow. "I think that's your name. I've definitely heard of you."

Lya was surprised she knew her name. She usually kept to herself and snapped at people who tried to talk to her... other than Lya, Aden, and Nemo, of course. "Yeah. How'd you know?"

She raised her other eyebrow, surprised. "How? And why, exactly?" Lya was surprised(again) that someone wanted to know her name.

"A witch?" she snorted. "What do you mean, a witch? And why would you ask a witch for my name?" That was... oddly specific.

She frowned. "You met a witch... in the woods, who told you my name? Just... 'By the way, you'll meet a girl named Lya'?"

Lya narrowed her eyes. "My friend did pick me for a quest soon... Was that it?" She frowned a bit.

"It's to Alaska to save some goddess. Persephone. She obviously couldn't save herself," she scoffed.

She shrugged. "Anyways." She took a sip of her water, suddenly tired. She knew super speeding drained her, but...

"Just tired. I don't usually superspeed that much," she admitted.

"Yeah. Watch." She backed up, took a deep breath, and super-speeded around the entire courtyard twice in a few seconds.

"Hey, charmspeaking's pretty cool. Besides, I get tired more easily than if I was charmspeaking," Lya said.

"I'm a daughter of Notus, so it comes with the package, I guess. I can also control wind." She smiled.

"Yep, but I don't really use it often," Lya admitted, walking with her.

"It's even more power consuming than superspeed," she admitted.

"Huh. Well, nice meeting you," she said with a shrug.

"Bye." She waved and walked to her cabin. She didn't really want to deal with lunch right now.
