Hi, everyone!

I've been trying to think of a replacement for the non-series challenge I had started here that just didn't get any traction. Let's try this instead.

How it works: I post three books. The catch is, they have to be NON-SERIES books -- fiction or nonfiction, both are fine, but it cannot be part of a series.
The next person picks one of my three for me to read, and posts three of his or her own, and so on. You do not have to have finished your last book in order to re-pick and re-post, but we encourage you to let us know what you've finished and how you like it!

My three, to get us started:

Jackie and Me by Louis Bayard Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister Raising Lazarus by Beth Macy

〰️Beth〰️ (x1f4a0bethx1f4a0) | 470 comments Sorry Jennifer…
This appears very similar to the monthly PIFM so I am not inclined to join.

Well, this is intended to be more like a "relay race" than a set monthly event: anyone can participate whenever they want, as many times as they want. But I do see your point. It's hard to have an independent interactive challenge (i.e. not a team challenge but one where people interact with each other) that doesn't involve picking something for someone else, so those kinds of challenges do tend to be similar in those ways. :)

Joy D | 1289 comments I love this idea, Jennifer! I often finish my books for PIFM before the end of the month, so this "relay" will work great for me. My three are:
Best of Friends by Kamila Shamsie When McKinsey Comes to Town The Hidden Influence of the World's Most Powerful Consulting Firm by Walt Bogdanich Somebody Loves You by Mona Arshi

I was thinking that, some months I whizz through mine, so if this is a challenge we can join at any time, it would work for those times. I'll have to check what November's theme is (you'd think it'd be easy as it should be the only one left!)

Kristine | 405 comments Jennifer, this sounds like a great idea. Right now, my Mom is too sick for me to get any reading in. I joined Alondra’s Horror Halloween One and that sounded like so much fun, but haven’t even been able to read any of those. If you continue this, it sounds like something in 2023, I would want to be part of. Thanks, for doing this. On the Same Page is one of my favorite groups. Everyone does such great Challenges.
