As long as the books you choose are read during the month of January, that's all that matters. If you don't manage to complete them all, it's not a drama either :) Happy reading!
Thanks, Jennifer & Kylie. The flu swept through the workplace two weeks before Christmas and I was one of the “lucky” recipients. I was out two days and went home early a third. I was feeling better the week before Christmas, but still recovering and exhausted.
I still have a cough, but that’s more a cold-weather induced asthmatic problem, and not likely to improve any time soon. We had more than a week of below freezing temps, and two days with windchills of -30 to -40F which definitely didn’t help. Last Thursday the temp shot up to 55F, and then promptly fell 20 degrees the next day. 🙁 The frigid air aggravates my asthma, even when I’m careful to cover my face when outside, which means the scar tissue from coughing has no chance to heal. It makes for a long winter. 😐

You poor thing, that sounds awful! I'm glad I don't live where there's snow and ice, freezing winds and temperatures like you get in winter. We get extreme heat in the summer, but even in comparison, it's nowhere near what your extremes are! You have my sympathy :)

Thanks, Brenda. Today was more average, 35F (1.667C), but sounds like we have another winter storm on the horizon. Yay. January and February are usually the most brutal winter months, but we can get snow into early May. 🥶
I have a three-day weekend coming up, so that will be nice. I won’t have to go anywhere and can curl up and read as much as I want.
