I also read "A Heart That Works' by Rob Delaney this morning and cried and laughed, got my heart broken and mended again. I absolutely recommend this book.

I just finished THE THINGS WE CANNOT SAY by Kelly Rimmer. Absolutely one of the best historical novels I've read, right up there with ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE and THE NIGHTINGALE!
It's another WWII story set in Poland, and it will break your heart! It's also a dual timeline story, which I love!

It is not a "pleasant" read but it is a very necessary read and you will be better off for having read the book and developing a kinship with the characters. This is a book that will remain with you for a long long time...I highly recommend you read it.

I listened to the audiobook version and I agree it was an engaging story. So much history, sacrifice and family love in this story. I too loved it!
