Timofei Golubev | 1 comments I am working on an application that allows you to track the condition of the eyes while reading. Would you be so interested?

Tracy Kelly | 27 comments I follow the 20/20/20 rule, every 20 mins look away from your book, or screen look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds, also I take 30 mins a day where I am laying down with a warm wash cloth over my eyes and I wear sunglasses when out and about during the day.

honeyfolds | 57 comments Yes. I keep it on dark mode and when i am reading, i do only a few chapters at a time. Maybe 3-4 chapters a day. Also after one ebook is completed throughout the week, i listen to an audiobook in the weekend to rest my eyes.

Gillian | 4 comments I'm farsighted with some presbyopia. I wear Rx progressive lenses with magnification in the bottom zone that help me read without straining my eyes. On my Kindle, I can also adjust text size and font settings for my comfort, as well as brightness for the lighting conditions.

I wear a neck lamp to read paper books if I can't read outside in natural daylight.

Meds I take make me quite light-sensitive, so I do dark mode at all times. I also put the font at a size that keeps me from squinting-one of the really cool things about reading on a device, rather than a 'real' book.

I was an ergonomics instructor at a data entry farm, the person who taught employees assorted methods for dealing with or even preventing fatigue and injury from reading/working at a computer all day. We never let employees sit before a screen longer than 50-55 minutes--had them get up and move around for 5-10 minutes. We also encouraged them to do short exercises at their desks if they felt any kind of strain from the work--altering how they sat, do exercises to relieve eye, neck and back strain, and so on.

I did those techniques for so long that they're habit for me, including now when using my e-reader.

Archie Byrne | 3 comments I'm always on the move and travel heaps, so reading apps are pretty much my go-to. I tried to lug around a book or two before, but that was just not comfortable for me. Now, I've noticed that I don't even really know how to read paper books anymore(
