Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz (#2)
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
They were all great reads, but I highly enjoyed A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses #4) by Sarah J. Maas. It's going to drive me crazy having to wait for the next book.
I was also pleasantly surprised by Cyclone (Linear Tactical #1) by Janie Crouch. It was not my usual read, but I look forward continuing the series.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
7 books read and 3 ahead of my yearly goal. I'm pretty happy with that. That number includes 3 I read for a challenge which is good for me. I'm lucky to get 1 read most times.

1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
I finished The Ravenels series by Lisa Kleypas. I got up-to-date on Tracy Crosswhite by Robert Dugoni, and the Columbia River series by Kendra Elliot.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I know I'm supposed to be finishing series, but I ended up starting four more.
Orphan X by Gregg Hurwitz
Bree and Tanner by Janie Crouch
Bree Taggert by Melinda Leigh
Sawyer Brooks by T.R. Ragan
I plan on continuing all of them.
3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
I moved forward in two series:
Deep Ops by Rebecca Zanetti
Troubleshooters by Suzanne Brockmann
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
My only 5-Star book in October was

I finished 14 books in October which is very good for me!

It's really difficult. There are so many good ones.

I had three 5-star books: Blacktop Wasteland, Wrong Place Wrong Time and What She Found. All three were difficult to put down and plenty twisty. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed all 14 books this month, with only one less than 4 stars. I’m satisfied with quantity, series progression and quality of the reading/listening experiences.

I moved forward with two series. Inspector Gamache and The Brighton Mysteries series.

I love the Tracy Crosswhite series. I don’t remember a book that didn’t keep me engaged from beginning to end.
Finlay Donovan is great. What a way to start a series!
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
This was a good month for reading. I enjoyed every book, and I’m more involved with the characters in the series I’m reading than I was last month.
I don’t believe in these kind of coincidences. Perhaps there was a GR glitch in the notifications.
