After Sophia and Danny are rescued from the freezing water, all those involved see her scars. Your thoughts about how they handled the situation? Was anyone too intrusive? Was it better for Sophia to have it out in the open?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Sophia felt shame for those scars, even though she was able to stay alive by enduring their pain. I thought the team did their best to mitigate the situation and respect Sophia's privacy, but something like that and now everyone knows, is tough to deal with. Overall, I think that it is better now for Sophia that this is out.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I agree, Anita. Sophia didn't want anyone to know about the scars. But now that it is common knowledge, it will no longer weigh on her. She's better off now.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Sophia had nothing to be ashamed of. The scars are a testament to her strength, courage and resilience. A lesser person would have been broken.

The team's reactions were to be expected but it was clear that they respected her.

Well stated, everyone. I like that the team responded with everything but pity. While it may have felt intrusive to Sophia initially, it bonded her to the team on a completely different level.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Sophia endured a horrific situation. The team never changed the way they treated her. They were great.
