For lack of having anything else lined up when another audiobook I was listening to went to another patron, I picked this one up. I’m on chapter 11 right now and while there is much of the same in terms of social interaction and the belief of women being inferior beings, it is interesting that this one really takes us outside of Kingsbridge into France and Spain and there is a lot of focus on the rise of Queen Elizabeth.
I expect to get my other book back around the middle of the month at which point my focus will shift primarily back to that one. But I’m going to keep at this one until then.

Have you seen Elizabeth with Cate Blanchett? It’s been a long time for me so I decided to borrow it from the library for a re-watch, a refresher on the start of her reign. Unfortunately the copy I got was damaged and I only got to watch an hour, but I’m hoping to check out another copy soon to finish it.
I just got back the audiobook for The Woman in White! 🙌🏻 This one will be going on the back burner now while I try to finish that one. It’ll give you a chance to catch up. 😉 I made it to chapter 12.
Just finished The Woman in White so I’m ready to jump back to this one. Have you gotten a copy yet or have any idea when you might?

Yes I finally got it, looking forward to start this weekend.
Also How was the woman in white is a Good read?
Yay! I'll be working through Upgrade by Blake Crouch along with this one so I'll be pacing myself some more over the next week.
I really enjoyed The Woman in White and definitely recommend it. There was a part maybe a third of the way in or so that the story dragged a little, but once you get to about 60% everything unravels and there's a lot to take in.

How's it coming Samaria? Have you read much yet? I must confess, I've gotten sidetracked by a handful of other books and haven't picked this one up in awhile. 🙈 I've got two I need to get through over the next week or so. Then hopefully back to this one. 🤞🏻
For some reason this one is a little more confusing for me than the others. I don't know if it's the content, or if it's just that it doesn't seem to be holding my attention as well. 🤷🏼♀️

I think we are going to need to put pause on it and re start on January , what you think?
I'm more than halfway done with the second audiobook I needed to get through and then I'll be waiting again for others on hold so I'll be going back to this one. Ideally, I'd like to finish it before the end of the year. I made it more than halfway before I put it down. And I'm really hoping I can get back into the story after having put it down for so long. I'm nervous I'll feel a little lost. 😬
Just finished chapter 27 and expect to finish the book tonight.
This one was a little harder for me to follow in places, particularly where it focused on the religious conflict. (I never finished re-watching Elizabeth as the first copy I got from the library was damaged and then had to wait for another, at which time I got busy with other things.) And while I was expecting (view spoiler)
I hope you enjoy the holidays and look forward to hearing your thoughts when you get around to finishing it yourself!
