I am over half way thru this book right now. Hoping to watch the movie on Prime Video tomorrow.

What time period is this set in, Sandi? Are you enjoying the book? I had seen an ad for the film but hadn't realized it was based on a book.

Set in the 1950's Laura. The book moves kinda slow I think. But I am finding a certain anticipation about it. However I really don't expect a big reveal or revelation at the end.

When I see something coming out that interests me - especially as a movie - that is the first thing I do anymore. Look to see if it is based on a book. This book originally came out in 2012. I was hooked by Harry Styles - wondering if he could act as well as he sings.

Watched the movie this morning after finishing the book. Haven't written my review yet - which I should do before watching the movie, but due to a time element today I went ahead with the movie. I would give both the book and the movie somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.

Thought the book was on a slower pace, and actually the movie also. You seemed to know everything right up front, it was just a question of how it would play out. So a level of underlying anticipation spreads throughout the story.

Both mediums were worth it, in my opinion.

Anyone else read the book or watch the movie?
