John Kelly | 4 comments My wife is a high school librarian, my father a history teacher, my mom an elementary school teacher and I am a former bookseller. That translates to LOTS of books in the past, present, and future.

I can read just about anything but my go-to genres are mystery, thriller, fiction, science fiction, and horror.

Favorite authors include Jeffery Deaver, Brad Thor, Matthew Rielly, C. J. Tudor, Mark Greaney, Larry Correia, Brandon Sanderson, Peter Clines, Robert Jordan, and Andy Weir.

I just finished A Sliver of Darkness, The Twenty and Hunting Time.

I also just started a book club on GoodReads - The Librarian's Husband's Book Club - check it out if you are interested.

Christine Mathieu | 583 comments I also like mysteries and modern gothic plus crime novels provided they are not too graphic (too bloody).
My favorite authors are Douglas Kennedy, Nelson DeMille (John Corey series), Linwood Barclay, Mary Higgins Clark (I re-read her books in lack of another good crime author) and Peter Robinson (DCI Banks), Camilla Laeckberg and Viveca Sten (sp?).
Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy is another favorite and so is "A Place of Execution" by Val McDermid.

For modern gothic I like to read the early novels by Susan Howatch and Isabelle Holland, "Rebecca" by Daphne DuMaurier and the sequerls/prequels written by Susan Hill and Sally Beauman.
But I look forward to suggestions.
