I was first introduced to UKYA (and really, books in general) by my librarian at school when I took part in the North East Teenage Book Awards way back over 10 years ago and I've been hooked ever since.

My favourite UKYA book of all time is Lucas by Kevin Brooks, although after that it's a free-for-all of favourites all battling it out. I may have read many bad books over the years, but I've never read a bad UKYA.
