Bree learns the details about Erin’s relationship with Stephanie and her husband Zack from Luke who overheard their conversations. If not for that, do you think his assault at the salon would have been worse? How did Matt & Bree do in working as a team under extreme circumstances? Your thoughts about that entire scene, including the reactions of the survivors during the attack?

I don't think Bree would have went to the salon to see Stephanie if Luke hadn't mentioned the conversation he overheard. Zack knew Stephanie had packed a bag and was following her. He saw Bree (his next target) going into the salon and assumed that she was helping Stephanie leave him. If Bree hadn't been inside and Matt hadn't been hovering in the parking lot, things would have been much worse.

It was mentioned that it wasn't unusual for a person in a mass shooting situation to be hiding right beside an exit but still not use it. I can see that happening. I would be too scared to move and may not even try to escape for fear of being seen.

It was lucky that Stephanie had that conversation with Luke. I do think the salon event would've been much worse if Matt and Bree weren't there.
If I was in something like this ~ pretty sure I'd be frozen in place unable to move.

It would have been a blood bath if not for Bree being on the inside and Matt coordinating the law enforcement response on the outside. Stephanie would not have survived.

I used to work for a bank and one of my colleagues happened to be in one of our branches doing an audit when it was robbed. We were trained to be observant and know what to do in these circumstances but she froze. All she could recall was the gun in her face and couldn’t move. You never know how you’re going to react because the event is so nonsensical at the time.
