Derrick (darkrynn) | 3 comments Hello, I read this book years ago I would say mid to late teens, maybe early 20s, which would have put it around 90s, maybe 00s.

I do not remember anything about the book physically. No cover and no title come to mind when I think of it.

However, the plot is a boy is born with no magic in a world where everyone has magic they are born with it. They don't learn it they just have it. They may not know what it is until later in life, however.

As the story progresses, the kid is bullied through school for not having magic somehow, he always manages to avoid being hurt by the bullies. He doesn't have many friends I can only remember one girl that was his friend, but I think she is left behind when he goes on the quest.

Around the time he is supposed to graduate. He goes off on a quest. I don't remember what for however, he is getting to his destination, and as he is putting together all the years that he has gone through and major things that could have hurt/killed him, he realizes that he may not have the ability to cast, but he is immune to magic harming him.

I remember an epic battle at the end with a wizard that tries to kill him they are flying not sure how he is but the wizard was using magic to fly. the man character starts to become confident that he cannot be hurt by magic and somehow beats him with that ability.

Derrick (darkrynn) | 3 comments reading the reviews I obviously blocked out a lot of it that I didn't want to remember. now I'm not sure I want to re-read it lol. At least I no longer have to wonder as I have for years what it is/was
